What you should know about the Installation requirements

Installation of the residential units can be made by several methods:


  • The purchaser may install the unit themselves, however, this will void the manufacturer's
     warranty and could void your homeowners insurance.

  • If there is not a KVAR KREW member in your area, you may hire a local electrician or HVAC Technician to install the unit.
     However, the installer needs to fill out the KVAR installation form, with his license number and information for the warranty to remain intact.


  • If they choose, we will add your installer to our database for your area so we can send him/her more installation opportunities. Their information is
    held privately and is for internal use only, never sold and is only provided to purchasers seeking an installation.

* Cost of the installation is not included in the sales price. Installation fees should be $50.00-150.00. If you receive a quote any higher than this amount,
please contact us and we will help you locate another electrician in your area. UPS does not ship to P.O. boxes. Shipping rates for Alaska, Puerto Rico and
Hawaii are higher than the standard rates.
